colorful sunroom revamp
Can you believe that this cute screened in sunroom was only being used for storage? The owners wanted a fun hang out space for their whole family to use. I repainted their wicker furniture black and added new pillows and white sheer curtains so that they would have a little privacy. The addition of colorful outdoor rugs and pillows brought this space to life! I also added a kids dining/art space with a yellow light above it. This easy change added extra usable square feet to their home! All of the unused furniture and lamps that were being stored here were donated so someone else can enjoy them.

pink and orange living room with lots of toy storage
This family needed their living room and dining room redone to reflect who they are: a fun, energetic and busy family with 3 little kids. They had mostly hand-me-down furniture that just wasn’t their style. They needed easy solutions for the piles of toys that ended up on the hearth or around the room. I replaced the neutral rug with a bright and colorful one, added fun pillows, a coffee table with toy storage, a huge yellow toybox and toy bins all around the room. I also added colorful new sheer curtains, curtain rods and lamps. I pared down the games and puzzles and found a home for them in a hall closet that had extra space. Now the kids have a place for all their things and know where they belong, which means that they can help at clean-up time! I did this makeover while the family was traveling which means that they did not get rid of a single thing! Having the right storage and enough of it can make a huge difference.
